ACL RECONSTRUCTION
Rehabilitation 3 to 6 months
The final phase of rehabilitation will focus on continuing muscle strengthening, proprioceptive and agility exercises.
After 6 months you will be able to return to the sport of your choice. You can expect to experience a progressive improvement for at least another 6 months thereafter, i.e. up to a year after the surgery.
It is important to understand that total healing takes time and that very little can be done to accelerate the healing process. We do know for sure that over-enthusiastic rehabilitation can adversely affect the healing period.
