Evaluation of your patella dislocation
A thorough history and examination will be undertaken. Standard X-ray films need to be performed. Usually a CT scan is also necessary to assess the depth of the groove and to measure other alignment parameters. MRI scan may be necessary in certain cases. At the time of your assessment I will discuss all this with you and you will then be able to make an informed decision about whether conservative is a possibility.
